Import/Export Rules-A Primer for Agreement States

The Office of International Programs, Export Controls and International Organizations Branch will provide an overview of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s (NRC) regulations in 10 CFR Part 110, Export and Import of Nuclear Equipment and Material.  The regulations in Part 110 apply to all individuals in the United States who export and import nuclear equipment and material under NRC licensing authority.  This includes persons in Agreement States who export from or import into the United States, byproduct, source or special nuclear material, and production or utilization facilities. Unless the export or import transaction falls in one of the specific exception categories identified in 10 CFR 110.1(b), it must be authorized by an appropriate NRC license.
